CURING CANCER

Did you hear about the scientist who cured cancer and hired a ghostwriter to tell everyone?

Nope. And you never will.

The day someone cures cancer, they'll write down the cure and share it.

You don't need to hire a ghostwriter to list facts or state the obvious. An expensive ghostwriter is an even bigger waste of money.

A car manual doesn't need to be written by a great phrase-maker. It needs to be written by someone who knows about cars, has a good plan, and can write clearly.

The same is true for books on flipping houses or growing vegetables. Or curing cancer.

The quality of the writing is less important than the facts. You're not writing a book to grab the reader's attention. You're writing a book to provide solutions to very specific problems. It needs:
1. A way to find information easily, such as an index.
2. Clear writing so the reader understands the information when they locate it.

You only hire a Rolls Royce on your wedding day. Not to go to the store.

If you're writing technical how-to books, don't hire a Rolls Royce ghostwriter. Hire a Toyota. Or a bicycle.

For some messages, the words really don't add much value.
